Mahe Shipping was founded by a consortium of commercial shipping lines from seven European countries: the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. Many of these lines had been serving the region for over a century and were committed to ensuring top-quality service for their vessels calling at the island. In pursuit of this goal, the first shares of Mahe Shipping Company were issued in 1969.
Today, Mahe Shipping Company is wholly owned by Corvina Investment Co. Ltd, a Seychelles-based holding company with a diverse portfolio of investments in logistics, hospitality, insurance, real estate and consumer goods.
After three decades operating from Shipping House on Revolution Avenue, a historic milestone was reached on Monday, 18th October 2021, when Mahe Shipping officially relocated its Head Office to the new port area at The Wheelhouse, Veloutier Road.
